Two 02:54
To the wide road that lies ahead To the harsh trail we must tread All we dream All we dread Two are led Two of hearts on an uphill climb Two to start down the steep decline All is certain All is fine If you are mine To your heart, I spread this wing Odyssey for the offering All the things that I long to bring Here I sing To the darkness To the light To the fortune And to the fight All our wrongs We made right This our plight To the future To the past To the now We lift our glass All that rises All that's crashed Two at last To your love I draw the line Soul and space And your place in mine All the things that I can't define Defy time Defy time Defy time Defy time

Blindside 04:31
This road you ride A steady decline Curves run deep Risk is steep What's around the next bend Might spell out the end Can't rely on that pride To make it out alive Steer away from me Veer from my path Before we both crash Cause I'm lethal, baby Silent and speeding fast I am all I imply I will be your demise Every thrill that you seek Ends in fatality You are reckless Endangered Are you wise to the wager? See the hazards are high On this deathly drive Steer away from me Clear into safety Get outta my tracks Cause I'm diesel, baby Crude and I'm coming up fast Heading straight for your blindside We collide... Be brave for me The structure gave way When the metal went slack And it's evil, babe But I promise you I've got your back Breathe into me Resuscitate From the weight of impact Believe in me I will make up for all that I lack Stay with me, babe Stay with me, baby Please Lay with me Feel the power of sight Coming back

Rightfully 04:08
Wrong in the right ways We make a fine match You bend when I break You fall and I'll catch We're too young to resign And too old to align Masters of mistakes The best of the batch You locked the front gate And I broke the latch We're too young to define And too old to deny But we are ripe for it Right for this We had both set our sights on it Love is righteous And rivaled And rightfully Ours Soft to the touch But split at the seams Wake up with angels Lie down with the beast We're too wise to let fly And foolish not to try The labor is loaded The joy is supreme Dead weight and lightweight And space in between See, the answer lies With no questions why Cause we are ripe for it Right for this We had both set our sights on it Love is righteous And rivaled And rightfully Ours Rightfully ours Rightfully ours Rightfully ours And it's rightfully ours

Called it home before I could speak Hiding out before I could seek Just a wee mouse In the brick house Just off Reservoir Road 'Twas the wood that rooted me Flowering on my family tree Learned to know how In that brick house Just off Reservoir Road Goddamn, have a built a dam Between my future and past But goddamn, do I give a damn Gonna make the moment last Once a teller read my palm She spoke of how I wrote my songs On the floorboards of that big house Just off Reservoir Road And it was through those window panes Grew my deepest growing pains Yeah, what I know now From that big house Just off Reservoir Road Goddamn, have I built a dam Between history and hope But goddamn, do I give a damn Gonna let the water flow So, my true love He and I Joined our hands under bluest sky Took a big vow At the big house Just off Reservoir Road And in time See, I have found Sometimes you build Sometimes you tear it down Something I learned how From the big house Just off Reservoir Road

The Drone 02:30
Lying restless in our bed Victim to a tortured head We are wired Too tired to fight the good fight Feeling battered Blocked and blind Made of suffering The human kind Let it fly Let us find some solace tonight Heart longs to take the leap Head fears the fall Rock it all fast asleep Finding the drone Drown out the voices And let it alone I'm alright If you're ok Fear's an illusion, anyway Find a light Push it out of mind Out of sight The path is crucial The road is rough Let's ride it till our wheels fall off Say goodnight You and I have a legend to write But something is stirring deep Within these walls I've heard that talk is cheap Finding the drone Drown out the voices And let it alone Drown out the voices Let it alone Drown out the noise Let it alone

about

"Heart Sounds" is an anthology of songs recorded over the past decade. The collection is an exploration of love in its many shapes and shiftings: nostalgic, familial, romantic, personal, and the beauty and bafflement that lies within it all.

The bulk of these songs were made as demos, to eventually be re-recorded, but the intimacy and rawness of the performances captured is something that we didn't want to forfeit. We chose to embrace the imperfections and let the songs speak for themselves.
